I saw where the Catholics had this special commission whose job is to hold hearings to forgive people from sins that priests cant. That is really grave sins that need special permission to forgive because they are considered so bad. So naturally my ears perked up because I expected one of them to be, Oh I don’t know, supposedly religious men who betray everyone’s trust and their own oaths by raping the children left in their care.

No, didnt make the list, thats ordinary sin. So what is so bad? Defiling or psitting out the cracker at confession. Cause you know it actually becomes the body of Christ. Any catholic out there please tell me how you can take this organization seriously. Fucking crackers!?!

The leader of Maine’s Roman Catholics has taken the unusual step of threatening to punish an outspoken advocate for people who were sexually abused by priests, possibly by denying him communion.

Yet more evidence that the local child rapist club that is the Catholic church still hasn’t changed.  Still trying to silence their critics, still refusing to own up to their sins. Threatening people to silence them, using eternal damnation to quell those who would speak out. It almost makes you wish there was a hell so these pedophiles could fry there.

So there was this miracle reported. A girl was dying of Pneumonia and the family removed her from life support and she suddenly got better. It happens, but here is the catch, they saw an angel by her doorway. See for yourself.

So I am immediately struck with a few questions. The angel looks a lot like, well just ordinary sunlight. If it was captured on video why don’t we see the video instead of just a still. And lastly but most pointed is this. Why would God send an angel down to save a girls life and still leave her the retarded shell of a child that she was before? What kind of dime store, half ass healing is that? Was the angel as retarded as the kid?

Or maybe just maybe, the kid just got better, and the light was just light.

Uh this story sickens me. the Vatican is trying to fix up its image by now embracing the Astronomer and Physicist that they threatened with death and forced to live the last years of his life under house arrest for daring to disparage their belief of a flat earth that was at the center of the universe.

Pope Benedict XVI paid tribute to the Italian astronomer and physicist Sunday, saying he and other scientists had helped the faithful better understand and “contemplate with gratitude the Lord’s works.”

In May, several Vatican officials will participate in an international conference to re-examine the Galileo affair, and top Vatican officials are now saying Galileo should be named the “patron” of the dialogue between faith and reason.

Yes and let it be recognized that this is how the church treats the patrons of reason. There is no link between faith and reason and cannot be. It is only through the eroding of faith via the constant pressure of science that we dont still live in the dark ages. Of course it took the chruch only until 1992 to admit it made a mistake in the case of Galileo.

In 1992, Pope John Paul II declared that the ruling against Galileo was an error resulting from “tragic mutual incomprehension.”

As you can see even then they had to cite the error as mutual. Galileo was right the church was wrong period. The only thing incomprehensible is why anyone still puts any stock into anything that comes out of the Vatican.

A group of atheists filed a lawsuit Tuesday seeking to remove part of a state anti-terrorism law that requires Kentucky’s Office of Homeland Security to acknowledge it can’t keep the state safe without God’s help.

Incredible and stupid but true. A 2006 clause requires the Office of Homeland Security to post a plaque that says the safety and security of the state “cannot be achieved apart from reliance upon almighty God” and to stress that fact through training and educational materials.

Okay look forget that God is a delusion and just suspend logic and say he does exist. If he is sitting up their in total control then where was he on September 11th? Was he not in control then. If he wasn’t then he is useless. If he was then it was his will and who is the Department of Homeland Security to go against the creator of the Universe?

I know Xians dont use their brains and this never occured to them but it should be so obvious to everyone else that garbage like this never should be passed.

But Democratic state Rep. Tom Riner, a Baptist minister from Louisville, said he considers it vitally important to acknowledge God’s role in protecting Kentucky and the United States. “No government by itself can guarantee perfect security,” Riner said. “There will always be this opposition to the acknowledgment of divine providence, but this is a foundational understanding of what America is.”

It is sickening to think such a stupid little man is elected to office by masses of ignorant people. We have to educate America. It is not foundational to America to believe in God, many of the founding fathers didnt. They had before them the ability to declare it a Christian nation and the wholly rejected it. What is foundational is the freedom to believe what youd like. Whether it is a sky god, aliens, vampires, or the moon being made of cheese. However it doesnt mean any of these postions have merit, require respect, or have any place in public policy.

By the way, all have equal evidence, in fact some maybe more than the sky god theory.

But apparently not the one for reason. Or for that matter tolerance or any of the other hogwash the Xians will always spew when they feel others aren’t respecting their inane viewpoints.

Olympia Washington recently allowed the freedom from religion group to place an Atheist display in the capitol building alongside a bust of George Washington and a  nativity scene. This led to a deluge of angry little brains sending emails and calling up in protest. Eventually somone stole the display and it alter turned up at a radio station.

The governor and state attorney general’s office then issued this statement: “The U.S. Supreme Court has been consistent and clear that, under the Constitution’s First Amendment, once government admits one religious display or viewpoint onto public property, it may not discriminate against the content of other displays, including the viewpoints of nonbelievers.”

With a nod to the winter solstice in late December, the placard reads, in part: “There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”

Its nice to see government getting it so right. I am not for banning the nativity scene but everyone deserves a voice. If you are offended… tough. If your God is so weak that he can be injured by a sign then maybe its time to find a new one. Or none at all.

Well Ive been down for a while. Had my webserver burn up and had to redo everything. On top of that Ive been really busy at work with my new management postion and loads of programming that I am doing there so it all took a while. But…. Now I have a screaming new server up and running and all is good.
